Your 2023 Gala Crew:
A HUGE thank you to the amazing Gala Crew. With 4 years between the this and the last gala, and since most of our crew had never been to one before, there was a lot to remember/figure out/explain/imagine. It takes a tremendous amount of effort to make a gala come to life and this crew was up for the challenge: Sandy, Aaron, Mona, Dina, Mike, Jessica, Anna, Harmony, Stephanie, and Ryan.
Our VIP Donors:
SB Pack n Post go check them out and support them! They're on Upper State.
DJ Zeke Entertainment for spending the night with us instead of a high paying wedding gig. We appreciate the sound system & dance tunes!
DJs Catering for the delicious taco bar (at a huge discount) and to their amazing staff who went above and beyond all night.
ESP Guitars for the awesome electric guitar & skateboard deck
Gabby & Stevie for coordinating the perfect venue.
GFS Alumni families who attended our event, donated money and items for us to auction off. Their continued support is testament to what a special place GFS holds in their hearts.
Incoming GFS parents, Allegra and Dani for joining us!
Del Pueblo Cafe for the taquito appetizers.
Our bartenders, Jia, Chris, and Aaron (and to crew member, Mike, for helping coordinate it all). With amazing drinks and service with a smile, the bar was quite the happening place all night long!
Iain for being the best emcee we could have ever hoped for!! I think the wig will be a requirement from this gala forward
Bree for organizing and leading all the incredible class art projects for the live auction.
Dan for the 8 beautiful succulent arrangements - they alone raised $345!
Apple for the delectable and beautifully decorated desserts. If you haven't had her young coconut cake, you're missing out.
Christina for getting all our non-alcoholic drinks, paper goods, and drink dispensers (and delivering & picking up).
Sandy & Aaron for hosting all the crew meetings and providing us with snacks, wine & Spindrifts.
Our volunteers, GFS Alumni, Linnea and her friend Holden, for registering, selling raffle tickets, & helping the banker.
Ted & Amorette for helping set up the gala webpage and online PayPal tools to buy tickets.
Marina Murad (friend of crew member, Jessica) who donated her design services for all the printed items such as the groovy gala logo, save the date, info sheets, program and bar menu). www. marinamurad.com.
Shout out to PIP Printing for printing our programs & bar menu on short notice.
Everyone who stayed at the end and helped clean up tables, chairs, and trash. It made clean up on Sunday morning much easier.
And finally, to all the parents and teachers for your contributions, wine bottles, bids, donations, laughter, dance moves, and groovy energy. 75% of all families attended the gala which is outstanding! Julia was the lucky wine raffle winner and went home with 36 bottles of red, white & bubbly!
We'll be setting the 2024 Gala date at the calendaring meeting. We'll be sure to send out the date asap so you can hold it on your calendars!
